The advantages of working at home
Over the last few years working from home has become quite a popular option. There are several reasons for this but mainly it comes down to all of the benefits that it offers. Most people will find that working at home offers a lot more advantages then disadvantages which is why they want to do it. The advantages generally relate to having a lot more freedom than you would have at the office.
Most people find that the biggest benefit that they get from working at home is that their schedules are much more flexible. When you have a job you are normally expected to show up at a specific time and stay until the end of the workday. When you are working at home you can pretty much set your own schedule, within reason of course. You will also find that you have a lot more time since you don't have to deal with the commute to and from work. This extra time means that you have more time to deal with other things, something that a lot of people really struggle to fit into their schedule.
The other big advantage of working at home is that you will likely find that you are more productive. Most people spend eight hours at work but they rarely do eight hours of work. A lot of time gets wasted with things like chatting with your co-workers, or pointless meetings. When you are working at home you don't have these distractions. More importantly since you don't have to adhere to a set schedule there is no need to kill time waiting for the end of the day to come around.
Working at home will also save you a great deal of money since a lot of work expenses will no longer exist. The most obvious one is the cost of commuting to and from work which can really add up. You also don't have the expense of needing to have work clothes, you can do your job wearing pretty much anything that you want. You will also probably save on things like lunch and coffee as well since you will have access to your kitchen and have no need to eat out.
One last benefit of working from home is that you will have far less interaction with your boss. You may well still have a boss but you probably won't be dealing with him in a daily basis like you would have to if you were at the office. Most people hate their boss and for good reason, a lot of people get promoted to management jobs they are completely incapable of doing. For a lot of people one of the great benefits of working from home is that you won't have your boss breathing down your neck. Most people find that this makes doing the work a lot easier.
